Hi! I’m Rebekah, I’m nineteen years old, and I’ve been a part of VSM for almost a year now. Though I grew up in church, I wasn’t taught that I could know God personally until a few years ago, which started my journey to find Him. It was in seeking Him, and running in circles that God led me to VSM.

Earlier this year I asked Doug Pierce (VSM Director) to disciple me, and through his guidance my relationship with God has strengthened immensely. A relationship that was once vague has begun to look like something. My heart walking forward is to see my generation experience the love of God, and come into a realization of who they are as a Son or Daughter of God.

This past summer I got to intern with VSM and learn the heart of their ministry towards God and people, even down to the value of just sweeping the floors. I learned how to see people as more than just projects to fix, and this opened the door for me to love them fully from a pure heart. After seeing God’s heart for people through the internship, I felt the Lord drawing me to become a full-time missionary and join staff at VSM. I am so grateful now to say that I have joined VSM full-time, and am continuing to follow Gods leading for my life.
