Our History…

The idea of Veritas Shapes started back in 2008, but didn’t begin to manifest into something greater until 2016. I knew God was calling me into full-time missions but I had no idea what that was going to look like. I had spent time in many different countries, and I had even worked in a local church for a few years as youth pastor. Then God made it clear that my family and I need to go on a mission trip together, and learn more about what it could look like for our whole family.

What He was saying was pretty simple… There were many things facing my wife and I, and we both decided to obey Him giving up our careers, salaries, and any future in those companies. In 2017 we found a program we felt God led us to, we weren’t sure what it was going to look like, but we trusted God. We ended up raising over 20,000 dollars, went to Colorado for a 3-month training program, then went internationally to China and Thailand for the remaining 3 months!

The organization Veritas Shapes Ministries was officially founded as a 501(c)3 non-profit in of 2018 shortly after returning from our first international trip as a family. Not long after returning, I knew all the things I had done for my whole life like Skateboarding, Surfing, and Snowboarding became the ways God wanted to use me to reach my home community.

So let your light shine before others!

We are blown away at how the Lord is working through this ministry and continuing to grow and bless it. When we first started praying about the vision for VSM never did we imagine that it would have the impact it has. Through our Summer Surf Camps, Snowboarding trips, Skate lessons, Bible studies, and Game/Hangout nights we continue to see people impacted through what God is doing in our lives.

SINCE 2017 WE HAVE TRAVELED TO OVER 6 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, Taken over 600 kids surfing in our local community, Had over 200 kids come through our home, AND continued to shine our light through action sprots in Brunswick, Georgia.

We can’t thank you all enough for believing in the work that we are leading, for investing your time, prayer, and resources into the advancement of the Gospel through something like this. We continue to ask the Lord that He lead, guide, and direct the decisions we make and the direction we go. He has been so faithful since the beginning and we fully trust and believe He will continue to be. It is an honor and blessing to be leading this ministry and we thank Him daily.
